What's going on in my life

Yet another Eurotrip 🇪🇺 with Lili. We are very lucky to have friends across Europe, so we also enjoyed some time with them. We also got to visit Lili's brother who's studying in France - lucky guy!

The trip highlight was spending 3 days in Mallorca during the Total Solar Eclipse 🌙. We rented a boat and got to see it from the Mediterranean Sea. Truly a life-changing experience, we're so lucky to have lived that with family and friends.

27 days, 6 countries 🇫🇷 🇲🇨 🇪🇸 🇨🇭 🇮🇹 🇻🇦, 12 cities, 1km elevation change, a lot of cheese, pasta and pizza later, really happy to travel back home. Being home is also amazing.

1st time in SF 🇺🇸. Got here for an event with Supabase, also visited GitHub. What a place, wth.

2nd PostHog full-company offsite I attended! This time we traveled to warm Barbados 🇧🇧. It was nice getting to see the team I've been leading all in the same place, and even better was working in our hackathon project. This is always soo fun.

Got married to the love of my life, Lili. We had an intimate wedding ceremony in an old colonial Italian house in Garibaldi, RS 🇧🇷. We had 50 of our closest people with us, and it was an incredible day. 💍

Our honeymoon was in the beautiful Pipa, RN 🇧🇷. We stayed at a gluten-free resort and enjoyed a nice pool overseeing the ocean. We also got to spend a couple days in João Pessoa, PB 🇧🇷 and witnessed the sun rise in the Americas.

First public speaking opportunity in my life! Attended the Lovable conference in Porto Alegre 🇧🇷, where I gave a talk about how Lovable uses PostHog and we use Lovable for internal products.

Back in São Paulo for the third time in 30 days: public speaking in name of PostHog about what the magical animal known as Product Engineer does.

Spent some time in São Paulo 🇧🇷, onboarding my new colleague. I disliked SP before, I dislike it even more now. Traffic is just so so bad.

Also attended Bad Bunny's concert! Best concern of my life, no doubt about that, just so much fun. Also got to show São Paulo to some friends from my hometown who were in SP for the concert too.

PostHog Christmas meet-up in Buenos Aires 🇦🇷, my first time in the country! It's really so good to take a 90min flight, this is probably the one thing nobody will ever beat Europe on, it's just great to land and still live that day rather than just head to the hotel to rest.
Besides meeting with my colleagues, I had the chance to hang out with Sol - and introduce her to my fiancée. We used to work together at LeadSimple and seeing her is always amazing.

Back in Porto Alegre, got to attend a wedding and then enjoy the holidays with my family. What a year!

Another PostHog offsite, yay! This time in Santiago, Chile 🇨🇱!

I moved to the Growth team at PostHog, focusing on the company's growth and expansion. Santiago was also the place to onboard my new team colleague, fun stuff, even though I got food poisoning for 24 hours, yikes.

Lili and I bought an apartment in our home town. We're renovating it, it's supposed to be our base when we're there. It'll make it easier to take Aura with us on the weekends and also let us spend more time there on the holidays.

PostHog Analytics super-team offsite in Barcelona 🇪🇸! It was nice going back to my favourite city in Spain. Amazing colleagues doing amazing work + great chill time with superb Catalan food.

Also got to say "see you soon" to my brother-in-law, he's moving to France for 2 years for uni! Aproveita, Marcelinho :)

Eurotrip 🇪🇺 with Lili. We visited Milan and Sardinia 🇮🇹, Edinburgh and London 🇬🇧.
Had a blast, never knew these places were so beautiful, would go back to all of them. Might make sense to spend more time in Isola Madalena(opens in new tab) next time.

Spent a week in beautiful Florida 🇺🇸 with my fiancée.
We visited Disney's EPCOT and Hollywood Studios parks in Orlando.
We then rented a convertible Mustang GT - check that off my bucket list ✅ - and drove to West Palm Beach and Miami 🌞.

Attended my first PostHog offsite in Tulum, Mexico 🇲🇽. I worked on a new Link Tracking product as part of our Hackathon, but also enjoyed some chill time on the beautiful Caribbean Sea (and heated pool 🏊🏻).

First experience in an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, 🇩🇴!
I'm not a heavy-drinker, but we made good use of the restaurants and room-service at 3 AM 🥓🥖🍔

Started venue-hunting for our wedding, we've decided we'll marry in the Vale dos Vinhedos(opens in new tab) region, just outside our home town 💒

Started my own product at PostHog: Revenue Analytics(opens in new tab) 💰

I'm 25 now! First birthday in years that I wasn't traveling and had the chance to spend it with my family!

Started working at PostHog(opens in new tab) 🦔, one of my dream jobs. I'm working on the Web Analytics team for now.

Visited my team in London 🇬🇧.

I got engaged 💍 to my beautiful fiancée, Liliane Basso.

3-week trip of a lifetime to the East Coast of the United States 🇺🇸. New York City 🗽, Washington D.C. 🕴🏻, Philadelphia 🗞️, Chicago 🌆, Montreal 🍁, and Toronto 🚀.

Visited Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 for a LeadSimple offsite. Spent a week in the east coast, 3 days in San Juan, and 3 days in Rincón on the West Coast.

My 24th birthday 🎂. Spent a week in Punta del Este 🇺🇾 and a week in Curaçao 🇨🇼 with my girlfriend. The Caribbean Sea is really one of a kind, can't wait to go back.

Attended the LeadSimple(opens in new tab)user conference in Austin, Texas 🇺🇸. This was my first time speaking in English to a crowd. I was extremely nervous and couldn't stop shaking, but it went extremely well, it was a highlight of the year.

First time in the US for the first LeadSimple off-site in Austin, Texas 🇺🇸.

Went to Florida for the first time! Loved Disney World 🎢, Miami and Key West 🌴.

Aura 😻 joined our lives.

Graduated in Computer Science 🎓 summa cum laude

Moved 🏠 back to Porto Alegre 🇧🇷 with my now-fiancée-then-girlfriend.

Came back to Brazil 🇧🇷 after an exchange year in Germany 🇩🇪. Spent 4 months living at the beach 🌴.

Lili came to visit me in Europe and we toured around Portugal 🇵🇹 and Spain 🇪🇸.

Visited some friends studying in Grenoble 🇫🇷.

Visited Luxembourg 🇱🇺 with a couple of German friends.

My first trip totally on my own. Visited Switzerland 🇨🇭 albeit only for a single day.

Visited one of my best friends in the Balearic Islands 🇪🇸. Also spent some time in Barcelona.

Moved to Germany 🇩🇪 for an exchange year at the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TUK).
